The gîte is even more idyllic than the photos show. The perfect place to relax and take time for yourself. Andre & Alison are incredible hosts; nothing is too much bother and they make such a concerted effort to ensure you are comfortable and have everything you could possibly need. It is beautifully private and the pool a wonderful size with incredibly comfortable loungers surrounded by woodland and the orchard below - truly peaceful! Thank you so much for having us and we can’t wait to come back next year!

we were made to feel so welcome. Andre and Allison are a very friendly couple but not at all intrusive. nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend them and their place to anyone. it is so peaceful in a very beautiful part of the Dordogne. they left wine beer and coffee. the bed is very comfortable, the pool is great.

Andre and Alison were the perfect hosts. Their recommendations for places to visit and eat in were excellent and very helpful. The gite is charming, comfortable and well equipped. The pool area is superb and also perfect for al fresco evening dining. We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend.

The Gite is a beautiful cottage in a great location and with great hosts. Everything is very well maintained and tastefully decorated. The pool is very big and fantastic. Andre and Alison are perfect hosts and welcomed us warmly, fulfilled all our wishes and helped with all questions. It was a great vacation!!

What can I say, we recently spent 10 perfect days at Maison de la Grotte, we are a family of four, two adults a 7 year old and a 5 year old. The house is perfect and has everything you need to enjoy your holiday. The kids declared it as 'the best holiday house ever' the pool, the garden and the house itself are great for a family. Plenty of areas to enjoy the sunshine and also space to cool off in the shade if required.
Andre and Alison are the perfect hosts and have created a really wonderful home away from home. Having stayed in a few properties in this area Maison de la Grotte has been by far the best we have experienced and we will definitely return in the hopefully not to distant future !

A charming, comfortable and peaceful Gite in a beautiful rural setting. The pool is private, warm and very clean. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. Andre and Alison are extremely friendly and gracious hosts.

A superb place with a massive swimming pool with all accessories for the kids, huge garden, total privacy. Plenty of sights to visit are close by. Andre and Allisson are super hosts replying quickly and making sure that everything runs smoothly.

Beautiful gite in a beautiful location! Absolutely perfect for a family holiday - near to endless activities and sights with the pool, orchard and garden to keep everyone happy when not exploring. Andrè and Alison are the warmest, most welcoming hosts who went out of their way to accommodate our family. We will be back for sure!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez André et Alison, ils ont été très réactifs pour répondre à nos divers messages, l'accueil à été très chaleureux, André et Alison se sont montré disponibles et très discrets, les photos sur le site sont conformes à la réalité, la maison dispose de tout le nécessaire, la piscine avec son coin repas est très agréable et sans vis à vis, je recommande vivement.

Le gîte est propice au repos avec une magnifique piscine sur la propriété. L’intérieur du logement est bien équipé et chaleureux. Les hôtes sont discrets néanmoins toujours à l’écoute et disponible. Nous avons passé un très bon moment et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
